La Búsqueda es Contigo

In 2020, I had the opportunity to design and animate the titles and credits for a documentary produced for Colombia’s national public television. The project was developed within the framework of Colombia’s Peace Agreement.

La Búsqueda es Contigo is the first documentary series by the Unidad de Búsqueda de Personas dadas por Desaparecidas (UBPD), bringing together the stories of dozens of families who, for years—even decades—have demanded answers about the whereabouts and fate of their loved ones in the context of the Colombian armed conflict.

For the title design, the concept was to create a space reminiscent of a museum—clean, calm, and visually minimal—where the faces of those searching for their families could be presented with dignity. Although the docuserie carries a deeply emotional weight, the visual intention was to evoke peace and a sense of relief, offering viewers a space of contemplation rather than distress.

For the end credits, the visual approach drew inspiration from archival photography—resembling the transition of old slides. This aesthetic choice was meant to evoke memory and the importance of remembrance, reinforcing the documentary’s central theme of acknowledging and not forgetting.
